About Crema Marfil

Crema Marfil has been quarried in Alicante for generations and is the reference warm-beige marble. The field is a soft cream with faint tan and occasional ochre veining, and it is uncommonly consistent for a natural stone — one of the reasons it became a specification default for large interior floors.

It reads warm under both daylight and incandescent light, which makes it forgiving in rooms that white marble makes feel clinical. It pairs naturally with wood and with brass or bronze hardware.

This is an interior stone in practice. It is not that it fails outdoors; it is that its value is in a large, calm, polished or honed field, and that field belongs inside.

Living with it.

Heat underfoot
Warm in direct sun but not punishing. Fine on a patio; think twice at a pool.
Wet traction
Honed indoors is fine. Polished Crema Marfil in an entry needs a proper walk-off mat.
Maintenance
Seal every 1–2 years. Etches like all marble — pH-neutral cleaner only.
Water absorption
<1% — dense, resists staining well.
