Privacy Policy
Marbull is a marketplace. We connect people who need stone with the distributors who stock it and the contractors who install it. This policy explains what we collect while doing that, why, and what we will not do.
Who we are
Marbull is operated by Karcilar Investments LLC, Lake Worth, Florida. Questions about this policy or your data go to support@depotbooks.com.
What we collect
When you browse
You can read the stone library, search live inventory, and view any listing without an account. Browsing without an account stores nothing about you on our servers. Stones you save while signed out are kept in your own browser's local storage, on your device — we cannot read them.
When you create an account
We collect your email address, a password (stored only as a hash, by our authentication provider — we never see or store the password itself), and the profile details you enter: name, company, county, and phone number. You choose a role — contractor, homeowner, or distributor — which determines what you can see and do.
When you use the marketplace
- Saved stones and lists — the items you star, so they follow you between devices.
- Quote requests — the product, quantity, county, notes, and your contact details, which are sent to the distributor holding the material.
- Posted projects — title, description, county, city, square footage, budget band, timeline, and the stone you are considering.
- Bids — the amount and message a contractor submits on a project.
We do not ask for your street address. A posted project carries a county and, optionally, a city — nothing more precise. Contractors bidding on your project receive no way to contact you directly. That only happens after you accept a bid.
What we do not collect
- Payment card numbers, bank details, or financial account information. Marbull does not process payments — material is bought from the distributor and work is paid to the contractor, both outside this platform.
- Government identifiers, licence numbers, or credit information.
- Precise location. We use the county you type in, not device location.
- Advertising or cross-site tracking data. There are no third-party ad pixels, no analytics trackers, and no behavioural profiling on this site.
How we use it
To operate the marketplace, and for nothing else: showing you your saved items, routing your quote request to the right distributor, showing an open project to contractors working in that county, and letting you compare the bids that come back.
We do not sell your information. We do not rent, trade, or share it with data brokers or advertisers.
Who sees what
- Distributors see the quote requests sent to them, including the contact details you entered on that request.
- Contractors see open projects — scope, county, city, square footage, budget band, timeline, and stone. They do not see your name, email, or phone number from the posting.
- Homeowners see the bids on their own projects.
- Nobody sees another person's saved lists, profile, or account.
These boundaries are enforced in the database itself through row-level security, not only in the interface.
Where it lives
Account data, listings, projects, and bids are stored in a Postgres database hosted by Supabase in the United States. Published listings originate in each distributor's own DepotBooks system; we receive only the fields they choose to publish — never their wholesale cost, customer list, or accounting records.
The site is served by Vercel, which keeps standard access logs (IP address, timestamp, requested URL) for security and operational purposes.
Cookies and storage
Marbull sets no advertising or analytics cookies. We use your browser's local storage for two things: keeping you signed in between visits, and holding items you save before you have an account. Clearing your browser storage signs you out and discards signed-out saves.
Your choices
- See and correct your data — your profile, saved items, projects, bids, and quote requests are all visible and editable in your account.
- Delete your account — email support@depotbooks.com and we will delete your account and associated records. Quote requests already delivered to a distributor are in their possession and subject to their own retention.
- Close a project — you can close a posted project at any time, which removes it from the contractor board.
Retention
We keep account data while your account is open. Closed projects and their bids are retained so both sides keep a record of what was agreed. On account deletion we remove your profile, saved items, and postings.
Children
Marbull is a commercial construction-materials marketplace and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If we change this policy materially we will update the date above and, for account holders, note it at sign-in. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised policy.
