Modern through-body porcelain reproduces Carrara convincingly enough that most people cannot tell at conversational distance. What it does not reproduce is marble's chemistry — and that is the entire selling point.
Porcelain does not etch. Lemon juice, wine, and bleach do nothing to it. It never needs sealing, it does not stain, and a 2CM outdoor paver in an R11 structured finish gives dependable wet traction at a fraction of stone's maintenance load.
The honest limits: the pattern repeats every few tiles, so a large floor from a small run will show the repeat if you look for it. And chipped edges reveal the body underneath, which no repair fully hides. For a rental, a busy kitchen, or a client who will not seal anything, it is nevertheless the right recommendation.
